Call for Artists

Karis Worship invites talented artists from all disciplines to contribute their unique perspectives and creative expressions to our liturgical resources.

We are seeking visual artist, musicians, writers, and more to infuse our worship with vibrant new expressions.

Open Call Launch: June 13, 2025
‍Submission Deadline: July 11, 2025, 11:59 PM EDT
‍Artist Selection Notification: July 18, 2025
‍Final artwork due: September 30, 2025                

Submission Requirements

• Artist info, CV, and Portfolio ‍
• Artwork Proposal: Submissions may include sketches or studies, visual mockups or concept art, reference images or inspirations boards. Final artforms must be in 2D formats, e.g., painting, drawing, mixed media, digital art, etc. If you are creating physical works, you must be able to submit high quality, professional-grade scans of the piece. You do not need to send your physical work to Karis Worship. Note: Artists will keep any physical work they end up creating for this call. See more under "Compensation and Rights" below.
• Artist Statement: Up to 200 words describing your artistic approach and interpretation of the theme.
• Interpretive Guide (if applicable): Abstract artists are encouraged to submit an interpretive guide. The audience for this guide should be intergenerational with special consideration to ages 5-12 and those who may not have engaged with art much before.

Note: We are seeking proposals and concepts rather than finished artwork at this stage.

Compensation & Rights

Compensation: $5,000 flat fee

• You retain copyright ownership of the commissioned artwork
• Karis Worship receives perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license for digital/print use and licensing rights to sublicense to KW customers
• Any physical form created for this project can be retained by the artist
• Artist credit will be provided in all uses
• Prohibited uses by sub-licensees: resale, merchandise creation, modifications, public sharing of high-res files
